Wavefront Aberrometer Upgrade
WaveTec Vision has announced the launch of its latest system upgrade for the ORange intraoperative wavefront aberrometer.
The ORange version 2.6 software includes more than 20 new functions, with special focus on accuracy updates, data sharing, improvements to the postrefractive IOL power calculation algorithm and a warning to the user when a measurement is not consistent with the preoperative biometry of the patient.
Mylan Pharmaceuticals has announced the launch of twice-daily bromfenac ophthalmic solution 0.09 percent. This product is the first generic version of Ista Pharmaceutical’s Xibrom ophthalmic solution 0.09 percent for postoperative inflammation in patients who have undergone cataract extraction.

Gulden Ophthalmics has released the Deluxe Eye Model to help patients understand how eye components function to create vision.
The model disassembles to reveal internal eye structures; opens to seven components that include the cornea, iris, lens and vitreous humor; and exhibits details of ocular muscles, the optic nerve, retinal veins and arteries and ciliary bodies and processes.
