Advanced Proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy With Total Retinal Detachment
A 30-year-old male presented with progressive vision loss in the left eye. His past medical history was significant for uncontrolled type 2 diabetes. Visual acuity was hand motions.
While an anterior segment exam was normal, a dilated fundus exam demonstrated a dense plaque of active preretinal neovascularization with a total retinal detachment.
