  • Cancellation(s) received 10 working days or more before the course date will be fully refunded. Cancellations thereafter will be subject to a $75 per person administrative fee.
  • Registrants who do not cancel prior to the seminar date are liable for the entire Coding College registration fee.

Instructor Bios

John M. Haley, MD, OCS (Houston and Dallas)

Dr. Haley is a board certified ophthalmologist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has served on the Diagnostic Procedural and Terminology Reimbursement Committee, the Academy’s Health Policy Committee and Chairperson of the Texas Ophthalmology Association Liaison Committee to Third Party Payors and Peer Review Agencies.


Joy Woodke, COE, OCS (Houston and Dallas)

Joy is practice administrator at Oregon Eye Consultants, LLC, in Eugene, Oregon, a three physician practice specializing in anterior segment and retina. Joy has over 25 years of experience in ophthalmology, which includes management, accounting and ophthalmic coding and reimbursement. She is a Certified Ophthalmic Executive (COE) that enjoys providing an administrator’s perspective to coding and reimbursement, along with the unique aspects of a retina practice. Joy is also serves at the Chair of the AAOE EHR Committee.


Sue Vicchrilli, COT, OCS — Director, Coding & Reimbursement (Houston Only)

Sue's 30-year ophthalmic background includes all aspects of coding, reimbursement, practice management, clinic and surgical assistance. Sue is the Academy's Director or Coding & Reimbursement, the author of EyeNet's “Savvy Coder” and AAOE's “Coding Bulletin”, the Ophthalmic Coding Coach, and the Ophthalmic Coding Series.



All instructors have the Ophthalmic Coding Specialist (OCS) designation.
