The American Academy of Ophthalmic Executives (AAOE) is a membership organization addressing the needs of those responsible for managing the business side of an ophthalmic practice. AAOE has developed a special membership package for consultants, combining all the benefits of AAOE membership with a listing in the popular Consultant Directory.

Ophthalmic practices are among the highest users of consultant services of any medical specialty, and ongoing changes in the practice environment ensure a continued demand for these services. A listing in the Consultant Directory links practices directly to your Web site and/or e-mail, giving you immediate access to these valuable leads.

Submit two endorsements from Academy members.

Corporate members must adhere to the following guidelines when participating in AAOE listservs:

• Your membership in AAOE listervs (E-Talk, E-Retina, E-Code) is non transferable. Only the person(s) whose name(s) appear on our consultant directory may participate.
  
• Your header and footer for each listserv comment must state: “consultant comment”.
  
• You may not solicit your services in e-mail replies or postings.
  
• You may not invite readers to contact your firm for further information.
  
• If a reader voluntarily contacts your firm, you may engage in a professional relationship only after you convey – and they agree – your services are separate and apart from AAOE’s general listserv activities.
