September is Children's Eye Health and Safety Month

children

More than 12 million children suffer from vision impairment.

Use this month's tools to inform your community about children's eye health and safety. Spread this message because many parents aren't aware that a child’s eyes should be examined during regular pediatric appointments and vision testing should be conducted for all children starting around age three. Sports are the leading cause of eye injuries to children. Children also should wear protective eyewear when participating in all sports and recreational activities.
