Vice Chair, The Council

Warn_Ann 2012Ann A. Warn, MD, MBA

After five years on the Academy Council, Dr. Warn begins her two-year term as vice chair in 2012. She has also served in other areas of the Academy including time on the AAOE Board of Directors, the cataract section for the Annual Meeting, congressional advocacy and OPHTHPAC committees. She has been a recipient of the Academy Achievement and Secretariat awards. In addition she has held various offices for the Oklahoma Academy of Ophthalmology, including two years as president.

Dr. Warn completed her undergraduate degree at Baylor University and received her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. After completion of her ophthalmology residency at the University of Oklahoma, Dean A. McGee Eye Institute, Dr. Warn stayed to start the Lawton branch office of the institute. She has been a comprehensive ophthalmologist with the Dean A. McGee Eye Institute – Lawton since 1994.

In addition to work with the Academy, Dr. Warn is an examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology and serves on the Board of Directors for OMIC. Locally, she was a governor appointed member of the Oklahoma State Board of Health for nine years and served as president from 2005 to 2006.
