Christie L. Morse, MD
Dr. Morse is the current chair of the Advisory Board of the Foundation of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and chair of the Academy's Ethics Committee. She is also a member of the Board of Trustees, the EyeNet editorial advisory board and the EyeCare America Steering Committee. She is the current Chair of the Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Practicing Ophthalmology Curriculum, the Academy representative to the American Academy of Pediatrics ophthalmology section, and the Executive Vice President of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
Dr. Morse graduated from Yale University and received her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina with a medical internship at the University of Massachusetts and a residency at Brown University, Rhode Island Hospital. Following her residency, she performed a Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus Fellowship at the Riley Children's Hospital of Indiana University.
She moved to New Hampshire in 1991 and served as Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and as Assistant Professor of Surgery at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon until 2000. Since 2000, she has been a partner in a multi-specialty group private practice, where she specializes in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus.
She has also served as a member of the New Hampshire Sight and Hearing Foundation Physicians' Advisory committee, the International Strabismological Association, the N.H. Medical Society, and as Chair of the Program Committee of The New England Ophthalmological Society.
