The Council serves as the advisory body to the Board of Trustees and provides recommendations for board action based on membership concerns. The Council is comprised of two groups: one representing state societies and another representing subspecialties.
The Council was established in accordance with Section 7.01 of the Bylaws of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
