    New! Pediatric Joint Symposium

    Monday, Nov. 16
    8:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
    Amblyopia and Beyond: Current Evidence-Based Pediatric Eye Care (SYM20) is a joint symposium resulting from a new relationship between the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Academy of Optometry. Panelists, who are leaders within their respective fields, will discuss evidence-based approaches to several specific areas in pediatric eye care. In addition, they will explore the relative quality and strength of available evidence-guiding best practices. Learn how collaborative research has led to advances in evidence-based knowledge and increased uniformity of treatment plans. This session is being offered at both AAO 2015 and the American Academy of Optometry Annual Meeting.

    Las Vegas Conference for Ophthalmic Educators

    2 to 5:30 p.m.
    The International Council of Ophthalmology (ICO) presents Las Vegas Conference for Ophthalmic Educators (SYM02). This session will discuss ways to improve teaching effectiveness and provide an opportunity to connect with other educators from around the world. Participants will choose from a variety of workshops and group discussions. This session is open to all AAO 2015 registered attendees and there is no charge to attend.

    Breakfast With the Experts roundtables offer small group discussions over a delicious buffet breakfast. These roundtables are not part of the Academy Plus course pass. Separate tickets must be purchased when you register or onsite. Members in Training automatically receive a 50% discount on all roundtables. Seating is limited, register early for best selection.
