    Dr. Neil Bressler, chair of the Diabetic Retinopathy Clinical Research Network (DRCR.net), discusses this year’s breakthrough accomplishment from the network--a study involving 52 sites that showed ranibizumab in combination with laser is superior to laser alone in treating diabetic macular edema. Dr. Bressler expects this development to save hundreds of thousands of patients from vision loss.
