Dr. Soosan Jacob shows a new technique for transscleral fixation of the capsular bag using a glued capsular hook. The capsular hook is inserted through a sclerotomy created under a scleral flap and then engaged with the capsulorhexis rim, providing scleral fixation. Following insertion of a standard capsular tension ring, the haptic of the hook is trimmed and tucked into the scleral tunnel and the scleral flap closed with fibrin glue.
