In this video, Fernando Trindade, MD, implants an opaque, black, PMMA lens for a 22-year-old woman whose legally blind right eye had an undesireable cosmetic appearance due to congenital white cataract. The patient did not want an artificial lens and was fearful of cataract extraction. The postoperative course was uneventful and the implant remained well-centered with an excellent cosmetic appearance.
