National Eye Care Project
(1-800-222-3937)
The CSEPS is a state sponsor of the National Eye Care Project. The NECP is a public service project sponsored by state ophthalmological societies and the Foundation of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and is designed to provide medical eye care for those who might otherwise go without.
To serve those who most need medical eye care, volunteer ophthalmologists (Eye M.D.s) are providing care for U.S. citizens or legal residents who are 65 and older and do not have access to an ophthalmologist they may have seen in the past. Although there is no financial qualification for the program, the emphasis of the project is on helping those without previous access to an ophthalmologist and on helping those who may be without the means to pay.
Call 1-800-222-3937 to locate a participating Eye M.D. in your area.
