Are Cataracts Causing My Visual Problems?
MAR 16, 2015
Question:
I have cataracts and I have recently noticed that I am seeing another set of headlights on top of the headlights of approaching cars at night and I am also seeing words on top of words when trying to read the guide on the television, which is already blurry at a close distance. Could this be the cataracts causing the problem?
Answer:
Absolutely. Cataracts can cause blur and astigmatism, which can contribute to these symptoms. Rarely, a muscle weakness could be involved. The best thing to do is see an ophthalmologist ASAP for a complete evaluation and learn your options.
