Glasses for mild refractive errors?
NOV 14, 2014
Question:
I'm a veterinary student and tested my eyes for fun in ophthalmology rotation. The results indicate I'm negative 1.5 in the right eye and negative 1.75 in the left eye. Both eyes have mild astigmatism (C = 0.50). Do people typically wear glasses for this type of change?
Answer:
Patients will often wear glasses for this level of correction. However, your choice depends upon your visual acuity (sharpness). Some people with your level of myopia will see 20/30 and others 20/100. Our brains are all different and will adapt to refractive challenges in differing ways.
