Question:
My mother had cataract surgery yesterday. She was fine for a day or so but then she started complaining that she is not able to see things in their normal size. Is this a common complaint after cataract surgery and does the symptom resolve itself?
Answer:
This can happen for several reasons and is not uncommon. Vision can fluctuate after surgery for weeks or more. However a sharp decline in vision is less common and should be addressed with the surgeon.
