    • Ophthalmic News and Education (ONE®) Network The world’s largest compendium of online ophthalmic education has never been more important to provide ophthalmic education at a click. Look for new user-friendly features coming soon. Members depend on the essential media, courses, assessments, and simulations that only the ONE Network offers.
    • Minority Ophthalmology Mentoring Research has shown patient–physician racial/ethnic concordance improves access to care, patient satisfaction, and outcomes. Rates of vision impairment are projected to double by 2050, disproportionately affecting racial and ethnic minority populations. Although underrepresented minorities account for 32% of the U.S., they comprise only 6% of practicing ophthalmologists. The Academy remains unwavering in its commitment to the program and its dedication to fostering diversity within the field of ophthalmology.
    • EyeCare America® is the largest public service program in American medicine, It helps seniors and those who are at greater risk for eye disease receive sight-saving care. Your support will allow us to continue to provide no-cost eye exams and provide other eye care resources and services to those who need it most, so they can continue to live full, independent lives.
    • The Parke Center honors David W. Parke II, MD, the Academy’s CEO from 2009 to 2022. The Parke Center Campaign will raise funds to create a much-needed conference facility that will enhance the Academy's ability to build and strengthen relationships with ophthalmic leaders and key partners. Select naming opportunities are available.
    • Truhlsen-Marmor Museum of the Eye® is the world’s only free, public museum dedicated to the fascinating science of sight. Look through the pupil of an enormous eye, explore interactive displays, and try on a virtual reality headset to see how new technology can impact medicine.
    • Dunbar Hoskins Jr., MD, Center for Quality Eye Care promotes the highest standards of care through research, patient care guidelines and clinical care evaluations. Among the center’s initiatives is the Academy’s Intelligent Research in Sight (IRIS®) Registry, the nation's only comprehensive eye disease and condition database, which allows ophthalmologists to benchmark patient outcomes to improve care.
    • Global Outreach programs have provided ophthalmologists in the developing world with the educational resources needed to more effectively treat millions faced with preventable blindness. Its programs include a host an ophthalmologist, a volunteer registry, and educational distribution to low and lower-middle-income countries.
    • Bruce E. Spivey, MD, Fund for Risk Management Studies supports the joint efforts of the Academy and the Ophthalmic Mutual Insurance Company (OMIC) for the development of risk management and patient safety initiatives. These initiatives include:
      • Developing innovative risk management and patient safety initiatives, studies and educational programs that will improve the quality of eye care around the world;
      • Exploring new ways of bringing risk management and patient safety programs to all Academy members worldwide, including through the Bruce E. Spivey, MD, lecture held during the Academy’s annual meeting; and
      • Developing tools that measure the effectiveness of risk management and patient safety education initiatives and their impact on physician and institutional behavior.
    • The Michael R. Redmond, MD, Professionalism and Ethics Education Center Endowment Fund addresses this growing need and ensures that the Academy’s efforts in promoting professionalism and ethics remain vibrant, dynamic, comprehensive, and relevant in an increasingly changing and global ophthalmic community.
