Thank you to everyone who signed up via the Haiti Volunteer Registry. Since the earthquake, the Academy’s Task Force on the Haiti Recovery has been working to coordinate the deployment of ophthalmologists to Haiti. Read firsthand reports from doctors in the field.

At this time, we recommend that if you are interested in volunteering in Haiti, you register directly with an organization providing sustained humanitarian efforts in the country.

Additionally, if your interest in volunteering extends beyond Haiti, we encourage you to register on the Eyecare Volunteer Registry and use the database to search for additional opportunities with NGOs seeking volunteers.
