Placing Orders

How do I search for products?
Choose from any of the following options:

  1. Enter keyword(s) in the Search the Academy Store box and click the Go button.
  2. Use the Browse feature to view products by category and subspecialty.
  3. Click on the New Products or Most Popular Products boxes.

How do I change the quantity I’m ordering?

  1. Go to your Shopping Cart and click the View Cart link.
  2. Enter the revised quantity for the appropriate item and click the Update the Cart box.
  3. Click the Continue Shopping link to purchase more products or the Checkout button to complete your purchase.

How do I continue browsing after visiting my Shopping Cart?
Click on the Continue Shopping link.

How can I see member prices?
Click on the Login button on the upper right side of the page and enter your username and password. Member prices will now be displayed on the product pages.

What types of payment do you accept?

  • Credit card: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and JCB
  • Check or money order payable to AAO in U.S. funds (mail orders only)

All orders must be pre-paid. We do not accept COD orders.

How do I redeem a discount offer from an Academy brochure or e-mail?
Enter the appropriate code in the Promotional Code box and click the Apply Discounts button.

How do I change my billing or shipping address?

Note: For credit card purchases, the billing address must match the address on file with the issuing credit card company.

Is my personal information protected when I make a purchase online?
Absolutely. The Academy uses Secure Sockets Layer software for online transactions. All credit card and personal information is encrypted when it is processed.

How much will shipping cost?
Shipping fees are based on your total order value.

  • Shipping fees are nonrefundable.
  • Do not include the price of any CD-ROM or DVD products when determining shipping fees. If your order contains only CD-ROM or DVD products, your shipping charge will be $9 (United States and Canada) or $30 (all other countries).

Do I have to pay duties and taxes for orders shipping outside the United States?
Yes. When you place your order, you are responsible for paying for any assessed duties and taxes.

I live outside the United States. Can I order products from a distributor in my country?
For your convenience, Academy products are available in your region through our distribution partners. To order products, contact the distributor directly.

Click on the Printable Order Form link at the bottom of the page to download the PDF.

How do I print a receipt for my dues payment?

  • Log onto the Academy’s web site with your user name and password.
  • After you have logged in, click on the AAO Store on the upper right hand corner.
  • Click on "My Account".
  • In My Order History next to  “Find Orders,” scroll down to “within the last year.”
  • Click “Go.”
  • Click on the order number next to the dues payment.
  • Click the Print button to print out your receipt.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

  • United States and Canada: All shipments are sent via Federal Express Ground and should arrive within 7 to 10 days, subject to stock availability.
  • All other countries: Shipments are sent via Federal Express International Economy and should arrive within two weeks, subject to stock availability.

How do I arrange for a rush delivery?
