    The Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, took another step forward in January when the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services set forth specific targets for a historic shift away from fee-for-service reimbursement in order to reduce costs and improve quality. The Department announced that by 2018, 90 percent of all traditional Medicare payments must be tied to quality or value. What does this latest announcement mean for ophthalmology? In this interview, Dr. Anne Coleman talks to Dr. Paul Lee about what physicians can expect today and what the future might hold.
