In this video from ASRS 2016, Dr. Nancy Holekamp discusses promising new data from a genome wide association study that found a possible link between the PRKX gene and patient response to anti-VEGF therapy for wet AMD. Her study found that the gene may be protective, reducing a patient’s chance of developing intraretinal fluid. Holekamp and colleagues used DNA samples from patients enrolled in the VIEW1 study, and plan to repeat it with data from the VIEW2 cohort.
