Role of the International Council and Council Steering Committee
ISRS is committed to being a truly global organization, representing the interests and serving the needs of refractive surgeons worldwide. A critically important component of this commitment is the establishment of the ISRS International Council and International Council Steering Committee.
About International Council and Steering Committee Representatives
International Council representatives serve as points of contact for local refractive surgeons, thereby increasing the presence of ISRS in their region. This is accomplished by providing information about the value of ISRS membership and the educational benefits of attending locally sponsored ISRS meetings and events. The Steering Committee is responsible for the development of the International Council ensuring that this group works to grow ISRS, to develop educational opportunities and to encourage attendance at ISRS meetings.
Connecting With Leaders
An important part of the ISRS global growth strategy is connecting with international refractive surgery leaders and to cosponsor educational events around the world. ISRS calls on its International Council Steering Committee and International Council members to assist regional societies in developing refractive surgery education events and programs.
