*Subspecialty Day will be held prior to the 2009 Joint Meeting with PAAO, 24-27 Oct., San Francisco. Preregistration has closed for the 2009 meeting, but you will be able to register onsite.
Objectives of Subspecialty Day
- Recognize refractive procedures, indications and complications and their management
- Conceptualize “total refractive surgery” (surgery that involves many different procedures)
- Intraocular procedures such as cataract surgery and phakic lenses
- Extraocular procedures such as intrastromal rings, corneal inlays, and excimer laser surgery
- Surgery deeply committed to obtaining the best quality of vision for patients Identify the latest indications, technology and procedures in refractive surgery
- Focus on early diagnosis and management of potential complications
- Learn about new ideas and research in refractive surgery through expert discussion of new procedures
- Learn about alternatives in the treatment of refractive error Improve the quality of refractive surgery and management of complications
