Museum of Vision
While exploring the exhibition, stop by the Museum of Vision to see the latest exhibit Extreme Vision: Science Fiction or Truth. Discover how myth, legend and science fiction predicted modern innovation. Science fiction highlights from the display include ophthalmologist Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Superman and Star Trek, while modern innovations include photovoltaic retinal prostheses, iris biometrics and the ruby laser.
Prep Your Pedometer
Give yourself plenty of time to get across the exhibition and convention center. The New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center boasts that it is the sixth largest convention facility in the U.S. with more than 1 million square feet (or about 0.04 square miles) of contiguous exhibit space.
Take advantage of the setting to meet a fitness goal: 10,000 steps a day is approximately 5 miles or the rough equivalent to the Surgeon General's recommendation to have 30 minutes of activity a day. Or please let us know if you need any auxiliary aids or services as identified in the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The Academy participates in other ophthalmic meetings, around the world, during the year. Find out more information about where we are exhibiting.
