Shared-Ride Shuttles
GO Airport Express operates door-to-door shared-ride shuttles between Chicago area locations and O'Hare and Midway Airports. Advance reservations are highly recommended to guarantee a seat and avoid waiting in ticket lines.Go-Airport-Express

  • Shuttles depart from Chicago O’Hare and Midway airports every 15 to 20 minutes to downtown Chicago hotels.
  • Shuttle service from McCormick Place to Chicago O’Hare and Midway airports will be available on Monday, Oct. 20 and Tuesday, Oct. 21 from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. The shuttle will depart from McCormick Place approximately every 30 minutes.
  • Reserve online now or call 1-800-284-3826.
  • Reference group code “AAO," to receive a 15% discount off shared ride service.
  • You can also purchase tickets at counters located in the baggage claim area of each airport.

Taxis, Towncar, Luxury Vehicle and Limousine Service
All Chicago taxis are licensed and recognizable by the numbered metal medallions attached to their hoods.

CTA From the Airport
The CTA (Chicago Transit Authority) operates city buses and the "L" rail system to and from both airports.

  • Midway: Use the CTA orange line to reach downtown Chicago. Cash fare from Midway is $2.25.
  • Chicago O'Hare: Use the CTA blue line to reach downtown Chicago. Cash fare from O'Hare is $5.00
  • Multi-ride farecards are available.

Shuttle Bus
Shuttle bus service will be provided for AAO 2014 meeting attendees between all official Academy hotels and McCormick Place during meeting hours Saturday, Oct. 18, through Tuesday, Oct. 21. There will be limited service on Friday, Oct. 17.

  • Hotel rates include an $8 fee to partially defray shuttle costs. 

Parking
There are three main parking lots at McCormick Place. All are in close proximity and walking distance to the convention center.

Taxis
All Chicago taxis are licensed and recognizable by the numbered metal medallions attached to their hoods. There is no flat rate; all taxis are metered.

Metra Commuter Rail
Metra provides commuter rail service from the Millennium Station and the Van Buren Street Station in downtown Chicago, to McCormick Place.

  • Fares are based on origin/destination traveled, starting at $2.75 for a Zone-A one-way ticket.
  • The McCormick Place Metra stop is in the South Building, Level 2.5 under the Grand Concourse.
