Mid-Year Forum

Mid-Year Forum Overview

The 2013 Mid-Year Forum was held from April 10 to 13 in Washington, D.C.  This annual forum provides an opportunity for Academy members, leaders and leaders of allied ophthalmic organizations to identify and discuss critical issues facing ophthalmology. The 2014 Mid-Year Forum will be held from April 9 to 12 at the Renaissance Downtown in Washington, D.C.

Benefits of attendance:

  • Provide valuable contributions to Academy policy development.
  • Learn more about Academy activities and initiatives.
  • Return to your state, subspecialty or specialized interest society armed with the latest information.

Congressional Advocacy Day
Advocacy Day 2013 was held April 10 to 11 in conjunction with the Mid-Year Forum. During Congressional Advocacy Day, Academy members will be educated about legislative issues relevant to the Academy and the ophthalmic profession. Academy members will meet with their U.S. senators and representatives to present the concerns and positions of the Academy and the profession.
