Mid-Year Forum Overview

Pre-registration for the 2015 Mid-Year Forum that will be held from April 15 to 18 in Washington, D.C. ended March 20. This annual forum provides an opportunity for Academy members, leaders and leaders of allied ophthalmic organizations to identify and discuss critical issues facing ophthalmology.

MYF Dinner Keynote Speaker: Mara Liasson, national political correspondent for National Public Radio, will speak on “Politics and Elections” at the MYF Awards Banquet on Thursday, April 16.

Congressional Advocacy Day
Advocacy Day 2015 will be held April 15 to 16 in conjunction with the Mid-Year Forum. During Congressional Advocacy Day, Academy members will be educated about legislative issues relevant to the Academy and the ophthalmic profession. Academy members will meet with their U.S. senators and representatives to present the concerns and positions of the Academy and the profession.

Council Meeting
The Council will meet in conjunction with the Mid-Year Forum from April 17 to 18.
