Study for the DOCK examination with the only review course based on the Practicing Ophthalmologists Curriculum (POC) – the same content that the American Board of Ophthalmology will use to develop the exam questions. Interactive sessions will be taught by instructors who created the POC.

  • Time limited certificate holders who plan to take the ABO’s DOCK examination in the near future
  • Practicing ophthalmologists who wish to attend a review course to update clinical knowledge

What’s the course objective?

  • To prepare time-limited certificate holders for successful completion of the ABO’s Demonstration of Ophthalmic Cognitive Knowledge (DOCK) exam in Core Ophthalmic Knowledge and one or two practice emphasis areas (PEAs) of their choice.
  • To provide a review of clinically relevant ophthalmic knowledge and information for all ophthalmologists interested in improving quality of patient care

What's the course content?
Course content will be derived from the Practicing Ophthalmologists Curriculum (POC), which is the curriculum that is used by the ABO to create exam questions. Instruction format will include a variety of educational techniques, including multiple choice questions appropriate for self-assessment and an interactive course format to accommodate different learning styles.


Accreditation 
The American Academy of Ophthalmology is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The American Academy of Ophthalmology designates this educational activity for a maximum of 24 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

The American Academy of Ophthalmology reserves the right to cancel or postpone any activity due to unforeseen circumstances. In the event of cancellation or postponement, the Academy will refund registration fees but will not be responsible for related costs or expenses to participants, including but not limited to transportation, and hotel costs and cancellation fees assessed by airlines/travel agencies.

The content of MOC Version 1.0 is only relevant for the ABO’s September 2007 DOCK Examination. We are discontinuing Version 1.0 products on October 1, 2007 and they will no longer be available.

Beginning November 1, 2007, all members will automatically be upgraded to MOC Version 2.0 which will be available exclusively online. The new MOC Exam Study Kit Version 2.0, will feature revised content to help you prepare for the 2008, 2009 and 2010 DOCK examinations.
