Sports Eye Safety Month is April

Eye injuries from sports send an estimated 42,000 people to the emergency room each year, with 13,500 ending up legally blind. The American Academy of Ophthalmology reminds coaches, parents and athletes of the importance of wearing eye protection during sports in order to prevent vision loss.
