What You Need to KnowProfessional Choices is now the Ophthalmology Job CenterOn Oct. 11, 2011, the Academy/AAOE launched a new job posting service called the Ophthalmology Job Center. The Professional Choices site is no longer active. The Ophthalmology Job Center will use your AAO/AAOE website log in Prior to visiting the new job center, be sure you know your Academy website log in. You may use our online tools to send yourself your log in. You do not need to be a member to visit the job center, you just need an Academy website log in If you do not have a website log in, you may create a web account. If you are not sure if you have an account, we strongly advise that you check to see if you have a log in using the tools provided above before trying to create a new web account. Employers Using the Job Center for the First TimeRecruit the best candidates faster, and more cost effectivelyPractices seeking physicians or staff, including optometrists, administrators, office managers, technicians, opticians, biller/coder and registered nurses, can advertise open positions and search a confidential database of qualified candidates. With an active ad posted, you can have automatic updates e-mailed to you with information or candidates matching your criteria. You may also list anonymously. You must use an AAO or AAOE member log in to receive a member discount when posting jobs The new job center provides member pricing in the same way you receive member pricing when you log in to the Academy store.
