October CCI Edits Do Not Impact Ophthalmology
The newest batch of quarterly National Correct Coding Initiative edits, V22.3, does not affect ophthalmology. However, we expect plentiful CCI bundling edits effective Jan. 1, related to upcoming CPT changes.
Whenever you submit multiple services, always remember to check CCI edits for all possible code combinations. For example, CPT code 92134 OCT is not bundled into CPT code 92250 Fundus photos, but fundus photos are bundled into OCT. View all CCI edits on the CMS website.
