undefinedUnderstanding Cataract Surgeryfeaturing an aid to informed consent

A 2005 scientific study confirms that showing patient education videotapes to cataract surgery patients significantly increases patient understanding and satisfaction and decreases anxiety. High-quality animated graphics clearly illustrate the eye and the phacoemulsification procedure. The DVD also includes a separate OMIC-reviewed section designed specifically to aid in the informed consent process.
