A 51-year-old woman had an iridocyclectomy in 1986 to remove
an iris melanoma. The melanoma had touched the corneal endothelium.
The resection involved four clock hours of iris and ciliary body.

Following excision, a footprint of pigment from the surface of the tumor
was noted on the endothelium. Eighteen years later, this pigment
still remains. Otherwise, the patient appears to be tumor-free.
Uncorrected visual acuity is 20/15.
