LAST MONTH’S BLINK: Congenital Cataract

A 30-year-old man presented with a history of congenital cataracts and aphakia in the right eye. The vision in his left eye with an anterior polar cataract was 20/40. The patient also kept glaucoma well controlled by taking latanoprost at bedtime. Following surgery in both eyes, the patient now has bilateral IOLs with 20/80 vision in the amblyopic right eye and 20/30 in the left.
