YO Info™ is the American Academy of Ophthalmology's newsletter for young ophthalmologists (YOs) — those in training as well as in their first few years in practice.

This newsletter provides YOs with information about practice management, coding and insurance questions, balancing work and family, and many other issues relevant to YOs. YO Events Planned for 2012 World Ophthalmology Congress in Abu Dhabi
After the successful joint symposia for young ophthalmologists during the recent European Society of Ophthalmology (SOE)/Academy Congress in Geneva, planning is underway for a joint Middle East Africa Council of Ophthalmology/SOE/Academy YO session in conjunction with the February 2012 World Ophthalmology Congress in Abu Dhabi. Topics under discussion include: 

  • Setting up residency programs in the Middle East
  • Opportunities and resources available for establishing residency programs
  • European Board of Ophthalmology – Europe harmonizing ophthalmic education
