Retina/Vitreous, Vitreoretinal Surgery
In this 1-Minute Video, Drs. Philip Storey and Sunir Garg share a technique for repairing tractional retinal detachments caused by myopic foveoschisis. Several surgical approaches, including complete ILM peeling and use of intraocular scissors to create an ILM opening, have been described. The authors present a circumlinear, or curlicue, peel technique to spare the ILM over the fovea, which may lead to lower rates of macular hole formation.
