Retina/Vitreous, Vascular Disease
In this 1-Minute Video, Dr. Jennifer Sun discusses the DRCR.net anti-VEGF retreatment algorithm for proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR). Patients first received 6 monthly anti-VEGF injections followed by PRN therapy until they met sustained stability criteria. Once injections were stopped, follow-up intervals were extended up to 4 months. Anti-VEGF therapy was restarted if neovascularization returned or worsened. This treatment algorithm resulted in excellent visual acuity at 5 years.
