Dr. Vivek Patel shares tips on mitigating vision loss in patients with giant cell arteritis (GCA). Those with GCA-related vision loss should be treated intravenously for 3 days before beginning an oral steroid regimen. The ophthalmologist should work closely with a rheumatologist to maximize care for these patients.
