How to Make Your Own Cheap Vertical Chopper

Dr. Hassan Adel Khaled takes matters into his own hands to create a homemade vertical chopper for phacoemulsification. The method involves bending a 27-gauge needle at 1.5 mm from the tip and on the other end into the shape of a cystotome. Dr. Khaled demonstrates use of the DIY vertical chopper cutting up a moderately dense cataract.
