    Retina/Vitreous, Vitreoretinal Surgery

In this 1-Minute Video, Drs. Ahmed Sallam and Mohamed Soliman present their technique for minimal drainage vitrectomy for the management of rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD) caused by retinal tears in the upper two-thirds of the retina. Compared with conventional pars plana vitrectomy with gas, this technique relies on minimal drainage of subretinal fluid and minimal gas use during surgery to mitigate the risk of postoperative retinal displacement.
