Spontaneous Dislocation of a Posterior Microspherophakic Lens

    01:24
    Cataract/Anterior Segment, Refractive Mgmt/Intervention

Drs. Fehmy Nafaa and Meriem Ouederni treat a patient with microspherophakia. To manage the spontaneous dislocation of a posterior microspherophakic lens, perfluorocarbon liquid, a vitreous cutter, and high vacuum were used to raise the lens up to the anterior chamber. Injection of viscoelastic behind the nucleus adds pressure to facilitate lens extraction.
