In this 1-Minute Video, Dr. Sunir Garg offers tips for using a pinch-and-grab technique to peel the internal limiting membrane (ILM). The trick, he explains, is to first pinch the ILM with forceps and then let go. This enables the ILM to separate from the underlying retina. Next, use the forceps to regrab the ILM and pull it in a circumferential manner. Ensuring that both tines of the forceps touch the ILM at the same time will make it easier to grab the tissue.
