Retina/Vitreous

In this whiteboard video, Drs. Rajeev Muni, Carolina Francisconi and team present the initial steps of a pneumatic retinopexy procedure. The first step is to perform a comprehensive examination with 360° scleral indentation, followed by pretreatment of all retinal pathology, including lattice degeneration, tears or holes in the attached retina. Subsequently, Dr. Muni describes in detail how to prepare the eye, the gas and how to perform the anterior chamber paracentesis and calculate the appropriate volume for intravitreal gas (pure SF6) injection.
