In this whiteboard video, Dr. Rajeev Muni, Carolina Francisconi and team provide a detailed description of the procedure for injecting gas into the vitreous cavity. The preferred location for intravitreal injection takes into consideration the location of the retinal detachment and the retinal breaks. Dr. Muni also discusses the proper technique to obtain 1 single large gas bubble and prevent multiple fish eggs or inadequate volume of gas injection.  Additionally, the postinjection assessment of the central artery patency is discussed.
