Relative Value Units: Where is the value?
Everywhere I turn, I hear about RVUs. Relative Value Units are a concept developed to measure the amount of work performed in association with a clinical activity, be it a patient encounter in the office, the interpretation of a fundus photograph or visual field, or the performance of a procedure, such as the incision and drainage of a chalazion or cataract surgery.
