Witnessing Service to the Profession
In the Opening Session of the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s 2013 annual meeting in New Orleans, it was my honor as president-elect to deliver an address titled “Advocating Service to the Profession.” During the past year as president of the Academy, I have been gratified to witness, even in these challenging times, an extraordinary level of commitment and ongoing service to our patients and our most noble profession.
