In this 90-minute webinar, jointly sponsored by the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) and Association of University Professors of Ophthalmology (AUPO), participant questions are answered based on the most current data available. The panelists are dedicated educators who represent the AAO, AUPO and the SF Match and share viewpoints on applying for this year’s ophthalmology residency match. The perspectives of a department chair, an associate dean for student affairs, directors of medical student education and residency program directors are included. Presenters representing different regions across the U.S. offer tips related to personal statements, rotations, letters of recommendation, virtual interviews, assessing residency program fit, integrated internships, and more. A handout with links to useful resources is provided.
