    This video is part of a series that deals with the management and prevention of unexpected complications in uncomplicated cataract surgery, specifically during phacoemulsification. Topics and techniques include wound burn and length anomalies, capsulorhexis extension and retrieval, two-stage rhexis, novel use of microrrhexis forceps and scissors, incomplete or difficult hydrodissection, hurdles in phaco chop, misplaced capsular tension ring and iris hooks, iris prolapse, and conversion to a nonphaco technique.
