Vitreoretinal pathology requiring surgical management with coexisting corneal pathology is difficult to treat because of lack of visualization during surgery for the vitreoretinal surgeon. The video shows the role of a combined approach by which corneal and vitreoretinal surgeons use perioperative temporary keratoprosthesis to perform pars plana vitrectomy with penetrating keratoplasty. Such a combined approach allows good visual rehabilitation in eyes that otherwise would have a very poor prognosis. Various indications and case examples are shown in detail along with pre- and postoperative results.
