Corneal Crosslinking and Long-Term Hyperopic Femtosecond LASIK Stability

Dr. Kanellopoulos discusses early results from a contralateral eye study combining intrastromal corneal crosslinking (CXL) with hyperopic LASIK to strengthen the cornea. Data showed significantly less postoperative regression in the eyes treated with crosslinking compared to fellow eyes, suggesting that hyperopic LASIK long-term regression may be more related to a cornea biomechanical change and less to latent hyperopia.
